A healthy eating Bristol brand is set to open a second location within the city next week. LOKI POKE, which specialises in fresh and sustainably sourced poke bowls, will open its new restaurant at St Nicholas Market on Saturday, January 18.

Founded in 2020 as a lockdown project, the poke bowl specialist has grown into a much-loved independent food brand, opening its first permanent site in 2021 at Wapping Wharf. The following year, it featured at Glastonbury and Love Saves the Day.

The Bristolian brand is known for its sustainable approach to creating healthy poke bowls, which has seen it win multiple awards. LOKI POKE won the British Street Food Sustainability Award and UberEats’ 2024 Climate Impact Trailblazer award.

On Saturday, January 18, LOKI POKE will open its second permanent site at St Nicholas Market. It will be located at South Arcade on All Saints Lane, and join a range of food brands in one of Bristol’s most iconic areas. To celebrate the opening, free poke bowl samples will be given for a limited time while stocks last.

The new venue has been designed by Bristol creative studio Imagineerium. The design is based on the sustainable ethos of LOKI POKE and is described as a “fun and inviting atmosphere”.

Georgia Hussey, founder and Managing Director of LOKI POKE, said: “Opening our second site at St. Nicholas Market is an exciting milestone for us. We’re thrilled to join such an iconic location alongside some of Bristol’s best food traders.

“LOKI POKE has been so well received by the city of Bristol, with the community sharing our enthusiasm for sustainable and ethical business, as well as delicious food. The local support has seen us to go from strength to strength, and the expansion allows us to share this passion with even more people.”

Natasha Mortimer, founder of Imagineerium said: “Joining forces with another of Bristol’s female entrepreneurs has been a fantastic experience. Together we have created something truly special with the small space at St Nicholas Market. The new design creates a fun and inviting atmosphere and we can’t wait to unveil it to the local community.”
