World champion Luke Littler made a surprise appearance at a local darts tournament in Benidorm, just days after his historic PDC World Championship victory.

The 17-year-old prodigy stunned fans when he walked into Players Sports Bar in Albir on Wednesday night.

The venue had been packed with British spectators only five days earlier, watching Littler become the youngest-ever player to win the PDC World Championship final.

While the teenage sensation didn’t compete in the local tournament, he delighted revellers by posing for photographs during the bar’s first darts competition of 2025.

The bar’s owners took to Facebook to share their excitement about the special guest.

“Last night saw the first darts tournament of 2025 and what a night it was,” they posted. “With a special appearance from the darts champion of the world himself, Luke Littler, and his family and friends.”

Littler was there to support his brother Leon, 21, who participated in the tournament which offered a small cash prize.

“We were very honoured to be in the company of an amazing darts player and person,” the owners added.

Though Leon didn’t claim victory on the night, the event drew enthusiastic responses from locals, with one commenting: “Great night!”

In a surprising twist, it was the world champion who asked Fisher, a former X Factor contestant, for an autograph and selfie.

The teenage star is no stranger to Albir, having holidayed there last May following champions week.

Littler’s appearance at the Spanish venue came after his stunning 7-3 victory over Michael van Gerwen at London’s Alexandra Palace.
