- The Lexus GX is revised for 2025, with new standard features dotting the interior of all trims
- Overtrail and Overtrail+ models get more useful off-road gear this year
- Don’t expect much, if any, change from a $100,000 bill, with prices up across the board
Landing squarely on this author’s Want List after last year’s revamp, the Lexus GX incorporates square styling that manages to recall the tremendous first-gen LX 450 whilst still being modern. For the 2025 model year, Lexus has pegged its starting price at $89,355, including freight and most fees but not taxes.
That’s about a $2,500 walk from an equal trim last year, when the Signature had a sticker of just under 87 large including fees. There is also a slight deviation further up the food chain; where marketers used to price the Premium and Overtrail at the same level, they are now about $600 apart, at $98,093 and $98,696, respectively. The price hike for these trims in 2025 is about equal that of the entry-level (but definitely not base) trim.
Same goes for the Luxury and Overtrail+ trims, which used to share a $105k-ish price tag, but now will ding yer bank account for $109,000 and $111,000, respectively. I guess someone at Lexus figured out the popularity of the off-road lifestyle (or at least of having the capability to off-road, even if it is never used) and decided to charge customers accordingly. Atop the heap is a $113,108 Executive model, which is now just two grand more than the Overtrail+, just half the delta it was last year.
There are some feature additions across the board which help square the price difference, such as a driver’s seat memory system and power steering column that’s now standard on all grades. Both of the Overtrail models are now equipped with a cooling box and pre-wired auxiliary switch bank, the latter of which is a boon for anyone adding gear they won’t use like a winch or off-road lights. The Overtrail+ also gets a standard onboard air compressor.
How long must you wait to experience these upgrades? You don’t. The 2025 Lexus GX is now on sale at dealers across the country.
