The identity of The Masked Singer’s Bear has left many viewers puzzled, but some sharp-eyed fans are convinced they’ve already figured out who the fluffy brown creature is, claiming it’s a no-brainer.
This follows the cuddly character’s performance of a song from Oliver! the musical, which left viewers, judges, and the audience in awe of their vocal prowess.
Despite Bear’s impressive voice, his stunning Saturday night performance wasn’t the only thing that sparked discussion among internet detectives, with many now asserting they know who’s hiding behind the mask.
The fuzzy teddy, dressed in red royal garb, started the show alongside Bush, Toad In The Hole, Pegasus, Pufferfish, and Wolf. The clues that got fans talking included references to performing in the West End as a “cub” before delivering a rendition of the famous song “You’ve Got to Pick A Pocket Or Two,” reports the Mirror.
Another hint that led fans to suspect the character was none other than a Hollywood legend came when Bear declared: ”The stage is set, the audience awaits, and I am hungry for the competition. “
After his performance, Bear read out a riddle: “I’m walking the stage and displaying my toil, but I’m also at home amongst flowers and soil.” Fans have been piecing together all the information provided on the show and are now more than certain that A Very Royal Scandal actor Michael Sheen, 55, is the person concealed behind the adorable furry mask.
Astute viewers connected the dots between Bear’s impressive singing voice and his carpool karaoke appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, leading them to speculate about his ‘true’ identity.
On X (formerly Twitter ), one fan declared, “Bear is…Michael Sheen?” while another asked, “Why does Bear sound like Michael Sheen?” A third fan boldly stated, “I’ll eat my own hat if Bear isn’t Michael Sheen.”
On Reddit, fans dug deeper, analyzing clues such as a bowl of porridge and a Goldilocks sign. One sleuth-like fan pieced together the evidence, concluding: “It’s Michael Sheen.”
