Marks and Spencer’s “insulating” duvet coat has amazed shoppers, with many declaring it the “best ever winter coat.” Enthusiastic reviewers have been singing the praises of the Thermowarmth Stormwear Quilted Duvet Coat, priced at £69.

The Thermowarmth Stormwear Quilted Duvet Coat is available in ‘fawn’ and ‘turquoise’ and covers sizes from six to 24. But some sizes are already selling out, meaning shoppers will have to be quick to get their hands on the coveted “snuggly” outerwear.

The Thermowarmth Stormwear Quilted Duvet Coat boasts a regular fit design and thermal wadding, while also featuring snug fleece-lined pockets and a hood for extra warmth. M&S touts it as an “insulating duvet coat” complete with “Stormwear technology that keeps you dry in light showers”.

Customers have taken to the internet to express their delight, with one commenting: “Beautiful coat, lightweight and warm. Bought as a birthday present for my daughter, she loves it!”

Another shared their approval saying: “Lightweight jacket in a good neutral colour. Extremely warm and the hood makes a cosy stand up collar effect. Warmest jacket I ever owned. Worn in a rain shower and the water rolled off.”

Even more praise came from a customer who wrote: “Storm coat – lightest to wear and so warm and snuggly. Best ever winter coat”, reports the Mirror. Another added: “Brought this for myself and was very pleased very warm and cosy.”

However, not all feedback was entirely positive, with a shopper noting: “Lovely warm, comfortable coat, but the colour is more a sky/wedgewood blue, than the turquoise it appears on the website. I am still undecided whether to keep it for this reason.”

Another customer agreed, stating: “Beautiful colour and just the right length (I am 5’7″). Lovely and warm but not bulky. I bought the turquoise which is my favourite colour but agree that it is not as bright as the photo. Need more attractive colours for winter coats as I do not suit blacks and dark colours.” Meanwhile, someone suggested: “Nice material but not that warm and zip is a bit fiddly.

M&S also offers a Rubber Thermowarmth Padded Quilted Jacket for £55, a Thermowarmth Rubber Hooded Padded Coat for £69, and a Nurie Hooded Quilted Padded Longline Coat for £77.
