Love Island All Stars is poised to make a comeback on our telly screens in just a few days, with a massive twist in store for the iconic Islanders.
The ITV2 dating spin-off show brings back former contestants for another chance at love, with a major shake-up planned for the opening night.
So far, 12 stars have been confirmed to enter the villa when the show begins on Monday. Participating are Gabby Allen, Curtis Pritchard, Kaz Crossley, Nas Majeed, Catherine Agbaje, Olivia Hawkins, Ronnie Vint, Scott Thomas, Luca Bish, India Reynolds, Marcel Somerville and Elma Pazar.
These Islanders, who have appeared in series two to 11 of the ITV2 dating sensation, were previously able to step forward for their crushes and choose their own partners, reports OK!.
However, it has now been revealed that in the All Stars edition, it’s the fans who will decide the initial pairings on Day One.
This means viewers at home can play Cupid and match potential soulmates. Alternatively, they can stir things up by pairing ex-lovers like Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville.
Voting began at 7.30am today, with fans casting their votes via ITV’s Love Island app. Producers also used a viewer vote to determine the first batch of couples for the inaugural All Stars season.
Elma Pazar, a former Love Island contestant, has recently admitted that she wasn’t entirely truthful about her age on the hit ITV2 dating series. The Essex-based lash technician who appeared in the 2019 series and was initially coupled with Anton Danyluk, made this revelation while speaking on the Love Island Morning After podcast hosted by Kem Cetinay and Arielle Free.
She confessed during the podcast episode: “I lied about my age on Love Island. I tell everyone I’m 23, it’s a real issue,” and later came clean saying, “I’m 26, but now everyone knows it because they said they couldn’t lie for me.”
At 31 years of age now, Elma is all set for another stint at finding romance as she gears up to return to Love Island for its much-anticipated All-Stars edition.
There’s an increasing buzz amongst netizens over who might be Elma’s new flame in the villa, with many conjectures pointing towards Scott Thomas from season two, who is currently 36, as being the perfect match.
Love Island All Stars season two will premiere on Monday, January 13 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
