January sales are still in full swing with savvy shoppers making the most of the reductions from some pretty epic brands – including Dr Martens. Its sale sees up to 30% off some of its best-selling shoes, including a pair of fur lined Chelsea boots that are ideal in the cold weather.

Now costing £133 down from £190, the 2976 Bex Faux Fur-Lined Platform Chelsea Boots have comfort at the heart of their design. Made from soft leather with a faux fur lining, the ankle boots have the classic Chelsea shape but have a hiking boot style thanks to its khaki Nubuck leather hue and antique gold trim.

Like with any Dr Martens shoe, the boots have the classic yellow welt stitching and AirWair heel loop and are easy to pull on thanks to their elasticated ankles. Giving you height, the boots have a slight platform with the rugged Bex sole with deep cleating. With contrasting white stitching on the top, the boots have character that’ll add a lovely rustic touch to any outfit.

While fashion plays a key role for these boots, like with many Dr Martens, practicality is always a standout feature and the boots come with water-resistant properties and are hard-wearing. With the WarmWair soft, insulated lining, they’re ideal for cold snaps whether in the countryside or the city.

With sizes 3 to 9 still available, they’re a great shoe to invest in and while these exact models don’t have any reviews to go off, the Chelsea style boots from Dr Martens consistently receive some pretty glistening comments. The Leonore Faux Fur Lined Chelsea Boots, £126 from £180, which have a similar style and fur-lined feature, are praised for their ‘perfect fit’ being ‘comfortable’ and not requiring ‘any breaking in at all’.

Another said: “Love the colour and fit – they make my size 9’s look very neat. I loved them at first sight, and had to have a pair! Running a bit small due to the new fur lining, but that flattens over time – I have another pair of Docs with a fur lining – in fact I have 8 pairs of assorted Docs!”

A third echoed the sentiment and raved: “These Docs are absolutely gorgeous! I am so impressed with how smart they look, making them easy to dress up or to dress down. I honestly can’t be happier with how warm they are too….the fur inside them is so nice and keeps your feet toasty on a cold day!”

While the boots have a near perfect score, with only two four star reviews, this same shopper did share a word of advice regarding sizing: “That being said, I’m a UK5.5 and opted for a UK6 upon reading other reviews saying that they ran slightly smaller due to the fur lining! A UK6 was perfect and fits comfortably, so I would say maybe go half a size up to what you generally wear!” Get them here.

If £133 is still a little steep for you when it comes to footwear, there are a number of other sales on that see some equally as stunning fur-lined shoes reduced. For example, these Winslie Khaki Green Chunky Boots from FatFace have a soft fleece lining and cost £49 down from £85 here, meanwhile Next’s Black Standard/Wide Fit Forever Comfort® Faux Fur Lined Chelsea Ankle Boots are currently priced at £49. For a lighter brown colour and zip fastening, H&M’s warm-lined boots are currently £44.99 while at Pavers you can get the Bellissimo Faux-Fur-Lined Ankle Boots for £38.39 here.
