After three years on the run, one of Canada’s most wanted has been nabbed for a double murder in Etobicoke.

Phillip Grant – one of two suspected killers who had been sought following a deadly shooting that killed two men and wounded a woman – was arrested in Windsor on Wednesday.

Toronto Police say the triple shooting unfolded at a business at 150 Thirtieth St., located south of Horner Ave., which was believed to have been a recording studio, around 8:45 p.m., on Jan. 3, 2022.

Responding officers located two men suffering from gunshot wounds, and they found a woman nearby who was injured.

The two men were rushed to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The dead men were later identified as Minyali Wur, 24, and Chudier Reat, 20, both of Mississauga.

Within a few weeks of the shooting, Homicide detectives revealed Darriel Thompson, 21, of Mississauga, was wanted for two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

Investigators also identified Camarr Brown, 21, of Brampton, as a suspect who was wanted for allegedly being an accessory after the fact.

Then, in August 2022, detectives named Grant as a suspect in the deadly triple shooting.

Grant and Thompson were both added to Canada’s 25 most wanted list by the BOLO Program in 2023.

Members of the Provincial ROPE Squad (Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement) and Windsor Police, with assistance from the Toronto Police Emergency Task Force, located and arrested Grant on Wednesday.

He was scheduled to appear in court for a bail hearing on Wednesday.
