An inquest is set to be held following the tragic discovery of a woman’s body inside a restaurant with her mother alleging she had been there for two days.

The Gurkha Restaurant was the scene of a grim discovery at 1pm on Saturday, November 30. Sabrina Lyttle, 47, was found lifeless in one of the establishment’s toilets.

Catherine, Sabrina’s mother, has since claimed that her daughter had entered the restaurant in Blackpool to use the facilities two days prior. She revealed that patrons had reported being unable to access one of the cubicles, yet Sabrina wasn’t discovered until November 30.

According to Lancs Live, Catherine shared on Facebook: “My daughter entered the property on Thursday, November 28, to use the toilet. Post mortem is still waiting to find the cause of death but her body was not discovered until Saturday afternoon.”

A representative from Lancashire Constabulary stated: “We were called at shortly after 1pm on Saturday, November 30, to a report of a sudden death at an address on Waterloo Road in Blackpool.”

“Officers attended and sadly the body of a woman in her 40s was found dead inside the address. Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this time. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”

The inquest into Sabrina’s untimely demise is scheduled to take place at Blackpool Town Hall at 10am on Thursday, April 3.
