Owners of a popular curry house in Staple Hill are opening two new eateries in Hotwells, next to The Mardyke pub.
Speaking with BristolLive, the team behind the Arjee Bhajee Indian restaurant on Soundwell Road confirmed they will be opening a takeaway on Hotwell Road and, next door to it, their own fish and chip shop, named Thank Cod For That.
The Arjee Bhajee is a popular restaurant in Staple Hill, with the team having won awards at the 2022 Restaurant Awards and the Asian Curry Awards.
It’s described as “an authentic Indian kitchen where our authentic chefs cook up all your favourite meals, creating a family-friendly, bring-your-own restaurant and takeaway.
“The restaurant draws inspiration from our passion for diversity in people, food, and banter. Our mission is to always deliver fresh, high-quality meals with health, well-being and value for money at the heart of your experience of eating with us.”
The team confirmed that the new Arjee Bhajee on Hotwell Road will be takeaway only. There is already signage on the buildings at number 132 Hotwell Road, which was formerly home to Hotwells Fish Bar. However, there’s no confirmed opening date as of yet.
