But one woman has taken to TikTok to share her game-changing shaving method for “down there,” which has sent her confidence levels soaring. “If you shave down there but you can still see your hair follicles, I’m going to teach you the best shaving tips for the closest shave,” Lara captioned her viral video.

She explained that if you can still “see hair follicles” around your intimate area, it’s time to revamp your shaving routine, just like she did. Lara used to suffer from “experience really painful ingrowns and razor bumps” post-shave.
But thankfully, this has become a thing of the past ever she mastered the art of shaving “properly”. So how do you do it?
Her first step is using a sugar scrub, which she insists is “a must”. Apparently, this can “brighten underarm and bikini line discolouration,” “reduce shaving bumps and redness,” and help “unclog pores and untrap ingrown hairs”.
“This makes you get such a close shave,” Lara enthused. She continued: “Exfoliate in soft, circular motions all over your bikini line”. By doing this, “you actually get hairs that are trapped under the surface of the skin and bring them out”.
Next, Lara recommended a special technique. She said: “Pull your skin up and shave down, rinsing the razor between each stroke – and do short strokes of the razor.”
She added: “Then, you’re gonna pull your skin to the side and shave in the opposite direction, pull your skin to the other side, and shave in the other direction.”
When it comes to aftercare, Lara uses a hydrating mask to leave her skin super smooth. And there you have it – the perfect shave!
Lara added: “I don’t get any itchiness during regrowth, I don’t get any razor bumps or ingrown hairs, I get such a smooth, close shave”.
