A sweet treat is being recalled by TK Maxx and Homesense due to safety fears. TJX Europe, the parent company of TK Maxx, has sent out a “do not eat” warning over a number of Sultans Turkish Delights products as they contain milk which is not disclosed on the label.
It means the product poses a possible health risk for consumers who have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents. The affected items were sold in TK Maxx and Homesense stores between November and December 2024, with shoppers likely buying them in the run up to Christmas either for themselves or to give as gifts. In a statement, TJX Europe said: “We are recalling the Sultans Turkish Delights due to a safety issue. They contain a small amount of undeclared milk which could cause an allergic reaction.
“If you purchased the product and are allergic to milk, please stop using it immediately and return to any TK Maxx or Homesense store. We are offering a full refund or a replacement for all affected products.”
The warning has also been shared by the Food Standards Agency. It said: “TJX Europe are recalling the above products. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.
“If you have bought the above products and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat them.
