A 13-year-old boy faces charges after what police say was a wild crime spree, in which there was a carjacking and a series of robberies.

Toronto Police alleged a bandit with a handgun approached a motorist who was standing near their vehicle last Friday in the Islington-Steeles Aves. area, around 5:25 a.m., and demanded the driver’s keys and wallet.

A second carjacker came up to the vehicle owner and started going through the victim’s pockets, taking keys and a wallet.

The first bandit took off on the car, while the second fled on foot.

Police also alleged that on the same day:

— an armed masked thug approached a victim in the Finch Ave.-Humberline Dr. area and demanded cash before fleeing.

— a masked lone male suspect tried to rob a restaurant in the Kipling Ave.-Rexdale Blvd. area, but left  empty-handed.

— a masked bandit entered a store near the restaurant and made a demand for cash.

Police responding to the last crime caught a suspect.

A 13-year-old Toronto boy was charged with 23 offences, including four counts of robbery and five counts of fail to comply with release order.

Cops hunt two women in drugging case

A victim who met two women at a nightclub complained about becoming dizzy and nauseous after consuming mixed drinks, according to cops.

Toronto Police say officers were called to the Front-York Sts. area on Dec. 6 after an alleged victim met the women at a club. They returned to a location where the victim was staying with a friend.

Police alleged the women urged the victim to consume drinks they had prepared and fled before officers arrived. The victim reported becoming nauseous and dizzy.

One of the female suspects has been identified as Kylie Esmeralda Galvan Nova, 24, of Toronto, who is wanted for administer noxious thing/intent to endanger life. A second female suspect is described as East Asian, in her mid-20s, 5-foot-4, with a medium build, long black hair, and a tattoo on her shoulder.

Hamilton cops investigate shooting

A wounded man is in hospital after a shooting Monday around 2 a.m. in Hamilton, according to police.

Hamilton Police said officers found the wounded man when they arrived in the Steeltown’s James St. S. area.

Investigators are calling for anyone with information about the shooting to call 905-546-4883.

Parking control officer assaulted

A 31-year-old Toronto man has been charged with assaulting a parking enforcement officer in the Roncesvalles Ave.-Queen St. W. area.

Toronto Police alleged that a man fled after grabbing the cap from the officer’s head on Dec. 29, 2024, at around 11:39 a.m. The parking cop was issuing a ticket at the time, according to the accusations.

Police later located and charged a suspect.

Michael Morkowski is charged with assault peace officer/public officer.

Arrest made after Hamilton shooting

A man faces firearm-related offences after a shooting in Hamilton.

Hamilton Police said officers responded to a shooting early on Nov. 26 in their city’s Jackson-Bowen Sts. area. No injuries were reported.

Cleveland Vanevery, 23, from Six Nations, faces five firearm-related offences and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.

At the time of his arrest, Vanevery was in custody for charges stemming from a Halton Regional Police investigation. Vanevery remains in custody.
