A woman was left shocked after discovering her partner had been unfaithful during her illness, leading her to devise a fiery brand of revenge.

The hosts of the LuAnna podcast were left astounded when reading a listener’s story about finding out her husband was cheating on her whilst she underwent treatment for blood cancer.

The couple’s relationship endured a tough six months during her chemotherapy leading to their eventual split, whereupon his numerous affairs came to light.

Hosts Luisa Zissman and Anna Williamson expressed indignation, questioning why the man couldn’t just “keep it in his f***ing pants” as his wife battled the most challenging period of her life.

The disgruntled wife’s retaliation was ingeniously understated yet potent: “I emptied all his cycling shorts out onto the floor, turned them inside out, stormed into the kitchen, grabbed a spicy chilli pepper, sliced it in half, and proceeded to rub the chilli into every spongy crevice of the inside cushioning of the cycling shorts,” she declared with pride.

She further pointed out that “cyclists don’t wear any underwear under the Lycra”, ensuring he would feel the full, searing effect of the spicy chilli.

“I then folded all the shorts up nicely and placed them back in the drawer,” she recounted, but her scheming didn’t end there. In a bid for retribution for his multiple affairs, she added: “For good measure, I also dunked his toothbrush into the toilet after I had a wee,” which she disclosed in her post.

Responses in the comments section were mixed, but many found her act of revenge amusing. “I feel she was kind; you go, girl,” one user commended, while another confessed: “Brilliant. I’ve done the chilli pepper in my ex-husband’s pants, lol.”

Another individual chimed in with their own tale: “I cleaned my exes’ toilet with his toothbrush; that was epic.”

“The old revenge tactics are the best,” wrote a TikTok user approvingly.

Elsewhere, several commenters lauded her clandestine approach. One enthused: “I love it! If he wants it spicy, he can go ahead.”

Meanwhile, another supporter commented: “That’s my girl – I would’ve done the exact same.”
