Actress Mindy Kaling has revealed exclusive details about her appearance in the Duchess of Sussex’s new Netflix series “With Love, Meghan” whilst speaking at the Golden Globes.
The star shared insights from her time filming with the Duchess of Sussex in Montecito.
Kaling’s red-carpet interview offered rare glimpses into the royal couple’s home life, including details about Prince Harry’s culinary abilities and Meghan’s gardening prowess.
She revealed that her involvement in the series began with a personal text from Meghan during her maternity leave, inviting her to visit their Montecito residence.

The actress praised Meghan’s culinary expertise, stating: “I think of myself as kind of an okay cook and she unsurprisingly blew me out of the water.”
She highlighted the accessibility of Meghan’s recipes, whilst marvelling at the Duchess’s gardening abilities: “She has a garden from scratch, which I could never do, and chickens which would probably all die if I tried to take care of them.”
While Prince Harry only makes a brief appearance hugging his wife in the show’s trailer, Kaling suggested he plays a larger role behind the scenes.
“Harry was there, but he didn’t cook for me, but I heard he’s actually a pretty good cook,” Kaling revealed on the red carpet.

She added regarding the Duke of Sussex: “He knows his way around a kitchen.”
Kaling’s comments hint at Prince Harry being more involved in the Netflix series than was initially apparent from the trailer.
The eight-episode series titled ‘With Love, Meghan’ and features the Duchess of Sussex showcasing her cooking and homemaking skills.
However, January 15 is also a milestone for Prince Michael of Kent, who will celebrate his 80th birthday.
