A “money expert” who has been sharing financial tips and tricks for more than a decade has let his many social media followers in on a “trick” people can use to save money at Tesco, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and other supermarkets. As well as his regular Instagram posts, Jordon Cox is known for his deal segments on shows such as Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4 and ITV’s This Morning.

The 27-year-old goes by the moniker “Coupon Kid UK”, and says he started couponing when he was just 15 to help his mum save money on her shopping. Since then he has become incredibly skilled at finding ways to get freebies and lower bills.

In a new video shared this week, Jordon explains that shoppers getting a meal deal at Tesco, Co-op, Morrisons or Sainsbury’s can get a Costa hot drink as the drink included. He said: “At Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons & Co-op – if you see a Costa Coffee Express machine by the meal deals… there’s a reason!

“Hot drinks are included as a drink in your meal deal – and they’re worth over £3 each! Most meal deals are £3.50-£4 for a sandwich, drink and snack, so you’re only paying a few pence more to get a sandwich and snack.

“Important: Do not add any extra syrups on top. Only works when ordering a base drink. Keep warm with this – and follow for more money saving tips”.
