Limescale can be a real pain when it comes to keeping your bathroom spotless. This chalky deposit, a result of hard water, can be particularly stubborn on your bath, sink and shower – especially on glass surfaces.

These white marks are highly visible on glass and seem resistant to regular cleaning products. However, one professional cleaner on social media has shared a handy product that can help tackle these persistent stains – and it’s not white vinegar or baking soda.

TikToker Clean With J, who runs her own cleaning business, regularly shares useful tips and tricks online. Drawing from her own experiences, she often posts videos focusing on solutions she has discovered while cleaning houses, addressing common and frustrating issues.

Many of us will likely encounter limescale on our shower glass at home, so this particular tip is worth noting. In a video posted late last year, the cleaner shared some of the most useful hacks she’s learnt as a professional, which everyone should know about.

To remove accumulated limescale from your shower, all you need is a pearl scourer. You can purchase a pack of four from Amazon for £3.29, making each one cost just 80p, reports the Express.

The cleaner recommended this method for tackling stubborn limescale, explaining that these gentle sponges can be used with your regular shower cleaner, so there’s no need to splash out on anything pricier.

She demonstrated the effectiveness of a pearl scourer on a grimy shower covered in limescale, which looked brand new after a thorough scrub.

In the same clip, she shared a handy tip for those aiming for a sparkling finish when mopping floors – just add some washing up liquid.

Simply pop a few drops into your bucket along with your usual floor cleaner and you’ll notice the difference it makes.

Opting for one with a fresh fragrance will also help to fill your home with a pleasant and clean aroma, which is always a bonus.
