League Two side Tranmere Rovers have delivered a witty response to Roy Keane’s criticism of Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The Wirral-based club posted a picture of their right-back Cameron Norman on social media, accompanied by the message: “Trent to Tranmere, Roy? Nah, we’re alright thanks.”
Norman, 29, who joined Rovers in the summer following his departure from MK Dons, currently occupies the right-back position at Prenton Park.
The response came just minutes after Keane’s comments during Sky Sports’ coverage of Liverpool’s match against Manchester United.

During Sky Sports’ half-time analysis, former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane delivered a scathing assessment of Alexander-Arnold’s defensive display.
“It’s too easy them chances for United, so easy, couple of balls behind,” Keane told Sky Sports.
“We talk about how good going forward he is but Trent defending today, my goodness, he’s all over the place.
“It’s schoolboy stuff. There’s talk of him going to Real Madrid, the way he’s defending he’s going to Tranmere Rovers after this – he’s got to do better.”
“At least he won’t have to move house, will he? He’s got to do better defensively, he’s got to do better.”

Norman had made his mark for Tranmere just a day earlier, scoring the only goal in their 1-0 victory against Carlisle at Prenton Park.
The defender celebrated his match-winning strike by holding the ball under his shirt.
Meanwhile, in the Liverpool-Manchester United clash that sparked the social media exchange, the visitors took the lead through Lisandro Martinez after the break.
However, Liverpool turned the game around with goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah, the latter converting from the penalty spot.
But United managed to peg Liverpool back in the end with Amad Diallo equalising for the visitors.
