Liverpool were haunted by Amad Diallo once more as they dropped points with a shock 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.
The Red Devils went ahead through Lisandro Martinez, only for the hosts to turn things around with goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah.
However, United earned a point with 10 minutes left on the clock – with Amad converting after a good cross from Alejandro Garnacho.
GB News now takes a look at four things we learnt from the clash.
Liverpool left to rue missed opportunity
Liverpool dropped points in their quest for the Premier League title with Amad Diallo earning Manchester United a 2-2 draw at Anfield

Make no mistake about it. While a draw doesn’t represent a disaster for Liverpool – this is two points dropped, rather than one earned.
United were there for the taking. It’s an open secret that they’re a shadow of their usual selves, a pale imitation of the team that won 13 Premier League titles under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Liverpool, however, weren’t at their best. Perhaps it was complacency, perhaps it was something else but it was curious to see them looking so flat.
They didn’t deserve to lose but their display didn’t warrant all three points, either. In the end, the spoils were shared.

Man Utd finally show some fight
It has been a season to forget for United.
They went into their match with Liverpool with many expecting them to be drubbed, especially given how they’d lost six of their eight games prior.
But United, to their credit, showed fight. If they perform like this between now and the end of the campaign, perhaps they won’t fall into a relegation scrap after all.
This could be the turning point. There have been plenty of false dawns – but a draw away at the home of their fierce rivals certainly bodes well.
Salah has to stay
Salah loves playing against United. After converting his penalty following a handball from De Ligt, he’s now bagged 16 goals from 17 matches against their fierce rivals.
With the pressure on, a lesser man would have missed from 12 yards.
Not Salah, however. The Egypt international’s penalty wasn’t the best but it was still far too hot for Andre Onana to handle, even if United went on to earn a draw.
Liverpool need to tie the winger down. Talk of a move away continues to rumble on, with the player himself not talking, but it’s best for all parties if the 32-year-old stays put – rather than departing for sunny Saudi or elsewhere…

United need reinforcements up top

United, as mentioned above, played well and deserved their point.
But they are crying out for reinforcements and, with the January transfer window now open, now is the time to strike.
One signing United need to make is a new centre-forward. Rasmus Hojlund, preferred to the luckess Joshua Zirkzee up top, missed a huge chance to open the scoring when he fired straight at Alisson Becker.
Victor Osimhen, who has been strongly linked, would be one piece in the puzzle.
But United need to strengthen all over the pitch if they’re to get back to competing for the biggest trophies on offer.
