Fans of The Masked Singer UK are convinced they’ve cracked the identity of Teeth after just one episode. The eccentric ITV guessing game show made a comeback on Saturday (January 4) night, with 12 celebrities ready to dazzle the nation in extravagant costumes.
Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan were joined by newcomer Maya Jama and special guest Sir Mo Farah as the sixth series started with a bang. Host Joel Dommett asked Maya to select who she’d like to see perform first, and she picked Teeth.
As the clue package rolled out, the celebrity sleuths, studio audience and viewers at home all began speculating about who could be behind the mask. Clues such as “I’ve always been a big mouth” and “I’ve bitten off more than I can chew” to “I know how to tackle the Masked Singer” and “going for gold”, sparked theories about Teeth’s real identity.
Teeth then took to the stage to sing (Is This The Way To) Amarillo by Tony Christie and shared the riddle: “I’ve been schooled in variety, I have lots in the mix, the way I perform knocks the audience for six.”

As Davina McCall declared that Teeth “is a woman”, fans at home quickly took to social media to share their own theories about the identity of Teeth. On X, previously known as Twitter, one viewer wrote: “- Alan Carr’s dad was manager of Northampton Town Football Club – seaside clue. He had braces as a kid and he hit them on a caravan park in Great Yarmouth. – he did Coach Trip, hence the coach and Alan got mistaken for a woman when he worked in a call centre.”
Another chimed in: “Teeth is so Alan Carr! ” A third person exclaimed: I have rumbled #Teeth It’s Alan Carr! @chattyman.”
While a fourth agreed: “I’m guessing Alan Carr teeth and there’s loads of clues for it to be him.”
