The AIB All-Ireland intermediate football semi-final between Austin Stacks and Derry-side Ballinderry, two former winners of the senior club championship, has been switched to Parnell Park in Dublin tomorrow at the later throw-in time of 2pm.
Because of the adverse weather conditions forecast in Derry-area, the GAA’s Central Competition Controls Committee has taken the decision to move the game to Dublin where weather warnings are nowhere near as severe.
The game was originally due to be played in O’Connor Park in Tullamore with a 1pm throw in time.
Making an early call gives the teams and their supporters more notice to adjust their plans with Stacks facing a slightly longer journey now.
The other intermediate semi-final, between Mayo’s Crossmolina Deel Rovers and Kildare’s Caragh, goes ahead at 1pm in Longford’s Pearse Park.
