Three more people have been charged in relation to the double murder in Bristol of Max Dixon and Mason Rist, who were stabbed to death in Knowle West last January.
The three have each been charged with two counts of assisting an offender and will initially appear before magistrates in Bristol next Tuesday, January 7.
Five people – one man and four teenagers – were all jailed for life for the double murder after a trial in October and November last year, and two more men, including the older brother of one of the teenaged murderers, also received jail terms after pleading guilty to two counts of assisting an offender.
The three charged now are Ellie Maddocks, 25, from Westbury, Dominic Smith, 25, from Westbury, and Marcus Williams, 31, from Hartcliffe. A man and a woman, who were also charged with the same offences in the spring, are due to stand trial in April.
Max and Mason were stabbed outside Mason’s home in Ilminster Avenue in Knowle on the last Saturday evening of January, 2024. After a six-week long trial, a jury found Antony Snook, 45, Riley Tolliver, 18, Kodi Wescott, 17 and two other teenagers, aged 15 and 16, guilty of both murders. All received life sentences but, because of their ages and other factors, were given varying minimum terms before they can apply for parole. Snook was given a minimum term of 38 years, Tolliver and Wescott just over 23 years and the two younger teens 15 and 18 years respectively.
Bailey Wescott, 23 – Kodi’s older brother – and another man, Jamie Ogbourne, 27, pleaded guilty to two counts of assisting an offender, and were jailed for five years in December.
