Carole Middleton has sparked speculation following Princess Kate’s latest move.

The Princess of Wales made a poignant return to public life as she joined the Royal Family for their traditional Christmas Day service at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham.

Kate walked alongside Prince William and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – as they made their way to the church.

For the special occasion, Kate wore the Daystar Blue Topaz jewels by Robinson Pelham, a striking pair of shield-shaped earrings.

Tatler reported that the jewels may have been a present from Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, with whom she maintains a close relationship.

The Middleton family has previously chosen Robinson Pelham pieces for significant occasions, having gifted Kate earrings from the jeweller for her wedding day.

The timing of these new earrings is particularly poignant, following both Kate’s and King Charles’s cancer diagnoses earlier in the year.

The princess had stepped away from public duties in March to undergo chemotherapy treatment, making this Christmas Day appearance especially meaningful.

The year 2024 proved to be a milestone period for the Princess of Wales, marked by both challenges and triumphs.

After announcing her cancer diagnosis in March, Kate withdrew from public duties amid intense social media speculation about her whereabouts.

The princess later described the following nine months of chemotherapy as “incredibly tough.”

Kate’s distinctive earrings feature an elegant half-moon and drop shield gemstone, which are exclusively cut for Robinson Pelham.

Drawing inspiration from the Georgian era, the earrings incorporate a diamond spokes set in a claw setting.

The design creates a dramatic ray-like effect, with the diamonds radiating outward from the central blue topaz stones.

The princess swept her hair behind her ears, ensuring the statement pieces were clearly visible during the Christmas Day service.

Dressed elegantly on Christmas Day, the princess wore an emerald green coat complemented by a blue and green tartan scarf.

She was seen beaming as she greeted the crowds of royal supporters who had gathered along the path to the church.

The appearance marked a significant moment for Kate, who chose to accessorise her festive ensemble with a particularly meaningful pair of earrings.

Throughout the year, Kate made occasional public appearances before eventually completing her treatment plan.

While the princess faced significant health challenges, she ended the year on a positive note, even returning to wearing her iconic engagement ring after spending much of 2024 wearing an alternative eternity-style ring featuring diamonds and sapphires.
