A transport truck diver from Brampton is facing charges in Northern Ontario after police said duct tape was used to repair a broken window on the vehicle.

Ontario Provincial Police in Almaguin Highlands, 40 kilometres north of Huntsville, said officers responded to a complaint on Dec. 8 from a concerned motorist who reported a commercial vehicle which appeared to be using duct tape to cover the driver-side window.

Cops were quickly able to locate the truck, OPP said.

Following an inspection of the vehicle, a 27-year-old person from Brampton was later charged with no clear view to sides, improper mirror — commercial motor vehicle, careless driving, and failing to report an accident.

The OPP shared an image of the truck to social media this week that showed grey duct tape completely covering the side window and the side mirror severely damaged.
