One man has been shot dead and another man has serious injuries after being stabbed during an altercation in the city’s west end Monday night.
Toronto Police received an unknown trouble call at 11:45 p.m. on Silverthorn Ave., in the area of Old Weston Rd. and St. Clair Ave. W. and found two victims.
One man was dead at the scene and the other was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The suspects fled the scene.
Toronto Police’s homicide unit has taken over the case.
The death is the city’s 85th homicide of the year.
