Good Morning Britain’s Marverine Cole shared a major development with viewers shortly after the programme began. Presenters Richard Madeley and Charlotte Hawkins were on the air on Tuesday morning, covering the latest news from around the world.
Marverine interrupted with live breaking news: Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had reached a settlement in their divorce proceedings. She announced: “Some breaking news.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally reached a settlement in their divorce, ending a bitter eight-year legal battle. Angelina had filed for divorce all the way back in September 2016 just two years have the A-listers tied the knot, citing irreconcilable differences at the time.”
“No court documents have been filed yet. The couple who became known as ‘Bradgelina’ dated for 10 years before they decided to get married.” The couple, who share six children, originally met on the set of the 2005 film Mr and Mrs Smith.
This was Brad’s second marriage, having previously been wed to Friends star Jennifer Aniston, and Angelina’s third, following marriages to actors Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller. Angelina is known for starring in films like Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Changeling and Girl, Interrupted, while Brad’s notable roles include Fight Club, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Twelve Monkeys, reports the Mirror.
Marverine, a regular on GMB, has been at the forefront of breaking news this week. On Monday’s episode (December 30), she reported the heartbreaking news of three foreign tourists losing their lives in a horrific fire at a backpacker hotel in Bangkok.
One victim was declared dead at the scene, while two others tragically passed away after being taken to hospital. Thai media reports suggest that the victims, including one woman, died due to smoke inhalation.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am
