An elderly man has died following a road crash in Co Louth.
The man, aged in his 80s, was injured when a vehicle he was driving was in collision with another vehicle on the N1 at Plaster last Thursday at around 6.40pm.
Gardai said the man died from his injuries on Monday afternoon.
Meanwhile, a man in his 60s and a boy also received treatment at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda following the collision. Their injuries were described as not life-threatening.
Gardai have appealed to anyone who was travelling on the N1 on December 26 between 6.15pm and 6.45pm and may have witnessed the Boxing Day collision to come forward, particularly anyone with camera or dashcam footage.
