PORTADOWN 0 GLENTORAN 1

Wow. Empathic strike from Jordan Jenkins.

He latches onto a ball onto a long ball forward and dispatches a powerful right-foot drive beyond Jamie Ray from the edge of the area. Smashing strike

Michael Newberry’s first team Newcastle United lead Manchester United 1-0. Alexander Isak on target.

The Premier League club paid tribute to the Cliftonville player earlier today.

“The Newcastle-born defender, who played youth football for Red House Farm, won the coveted Wor Jackie trophy during his time at St. James’ Park.

“He joined Icelandic side Víkingur Ólafsvík in 2018 before moving on to Linfield and, earlier this year, Cliftonville.
“As a mark of respect, Cliftonville’s match against Dungannon Swifts has been postponed, as has Linfield’s fixture against Larne.
The thoughts of everybody at Newcastle United are with Michael’s friends and family at this difficult time”

Danny Amos swings a corner-kick in. It lands on the roof of the Portadown goal – that shows how strong the wind is at Shamrock Park as Amos is usually very accurate.

There was a late change to the Glentoran team at Portadown. Johnny Russell plays – there’s no sign of Jay Donnelly.

ANNAGH UNITED 0 BANGOR 1

Our first goal of the night comes in Portadown, but at Tandragee Road rather than Shamrock Park. Matthew Ferguson converts from close range to give Bangor the lead over Annagh United.

Another shock from the Championship. Stephen Small will stand down as Ballyclare Comrades manager immediately after tonight’s game with Harland and Wolff Welders

One result is already in from the Championship, and it’s something of a shock. Newington defeated Institute 2-0 at Inver Park in a 3pm kick-off. The upshot of that is, Newington have leapfrogged Newry City, leaving Darren Mullen’s team at the bottom of the table
