Greggs is bringing back its popular Happier Hours promotion, offering customers double stamps on all sandwich purchases during lunchtime.
The high street bakery chain will run the promotion until the end of January, helping customers stretch their budgets after the festive season.
The scheme aims to brighten up winter for Greggs fans, with the company noting that freebies “taste twice as good” when the next payday feels distant.
Customers can earn rewards during the promotion period, working their way towards free items from the menu.
The Happier Hours will run for three hours each day

To participate, customers need to scan the Greggs App when making purchases between 11am and 2pm.
The app can be downloaded from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
The promotion applies to all sandwiches in the range, from classic ham and cheese baguettes to Mexican Chicken Flatbreads.
Customers using the app can also access additional benefits beyond the double stamps offer.
The app allows users to skip queues through Click + Collect functionality and receive early notifications about menu updates.
Other items in the feature include the Chargrill Chicken Oval Bite and Flatbreads which aim to offer a flavourful alternative to traditional sandwiches.
Customers can also choose from burgers featuring crispy chicken breast or battered cod fillet fish fingers, served in corn top rolls.
These can be paired with Southern Fried Potato Wedges for a complete meal.
