One man already faces charges but investigators are now trying to track down a second suspect in last month’s armed robbery of a cannabis store in Ancaster.
Hamilton Police say the heist occurred at HighLife Cannabis, on Wilson St. W., around 9 p.m. on Nov. 4.
Two masked suspects entered the cannabis store and one of them had a gun, police say. The bandits approached the only employee demanding money and merchandise.
Police say “thorough and coordinated investigation” resulted in “a significant breakthrough” in the case.
Investigators identified and arrested one suspect on Dec. 12.
Isaiah Sharpe, 29, of St. Catharines, is charged robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise with intent, pointing a firearm, possession of a firearm contrary to an order, uttering a threat to cause death or bodily harm, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Investigators have now released images of a second suspect hoping someone will recognize him and come forward.
The second man sought is described as black, 25 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-10, with an average build.
Anyone with information regarding this man’s identity or whereabouts is urged to call police at 905-546-8934 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
