Princess Charlotte has been revealed as the world’s richest child with an estimated net worth of £3.9 billion, surpassing both her royal siblings and children of global celebrities, according to new data.

The nine-year-old daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales has claimed the top spot ahead of her brothers Prince George, 11 and Prince Louis, six, in global wealth rankings.

The young princess’s fortune exceeds those of celebrity children including Blue Ivy Carter and North West, daughters of Jay-Z and Kanye West respectively.

Her wealth is expected to grow further as she takes on a more prominent role in public life.

Prince George ranks second in the list of wealthy children with a net worth of £2.8 billion, nearly £2 billion more than the third-placed Rza Athelston Mayers, son of Rihanna.

The future king received an £18,000 present from King Charles for his tenth birthday.

Prince Louis, the youngest of the Wales children, places ninth on the list with a net worth of £97.9 million.

Prince George will inherit 133,000 acres of land across 23 counties in the UK, known as the Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate valued at over £1 billion when Prince William becomes King.

Much of Princess Charlotte’s wealth is attributed to the “Kate effect”, a phenomenon describing her mother’s influence on fashion.

Research from Brand Finance named the Princess of Wales as “the most powerful royal fashion influencer”.

The same research showed that pieces worn by Kate increase desirability by 38 per cent among American shoppers.

Fashion items worn by the Princess of Wales typically sell out rapidly, with a single photograph capable of transforming a designer’s fortunes.

Charlotte is expected to develop similar influence over fashion and retail markets as she grows older and increases her public appearances.

Beyond the “Kate effect,” Princess Charlotte’s wealth stems from multiple sources including future inheritances and existing investments.
