Residents were left outraged after a “petty bin man” was caught removing a bag of rubbish and leaving it on the side of the road.
The refuse collector was captured on camera removing a black bin bag that was placed on top of a bin and placing it on the floor, before dragging the wheelie bin towards his dustbin lorry.
He then returned the now-empty bin to the property in Hull, ignoring the single black bin bag and moving onto the next property.
The resident saw the incident on the doorbell camera footage and shared it online, taking aim at his local council.

“Remind me why I pay you over £130 a month [Hull City Council],” they said.
Outraged social media users expressed their anger at the “petty” rubbish collector, dubbing his actions as “madness”.
One user said: “Count yourself lucky, I pay more than that and they didn’t even touch the bin when I left a bag on top of it.”
A second chimed in: “Now an extra bag or the lid being open by 1cm is refused! It’s madness.”

“It amazes me how they have strict rules when it suits them,” a third said. “They won’t take rubbish outside the bin, yet I’ve seen them emptying bins by hand so they don’t have to walk back and forth with the wheelie-bin.
“There is, of course, H&S [health and safety] rules for emptying a bin. It seems that workers are very selective when following these rules. Yet if the bosses instructed them to do this, they’d call a strike.”
On Hull City Council’s website, the local authority states that there must be “no side waste with the black bin”.
It said that residents must make sure that “all bin lids are fully closed”, adding that “heavy” bins will not be emptied.
Some didn’t see a problem with the bin man’s actions, believing he stuck firmly within the rules.
One said: “And then what happens when someone leaves two bags, and then three bags. Has to be a rule otherwise people in society will take the p***.”
“Rules are clear. Rubbish has to be in a bin for them to take it. If you’ve run out of room, ask a neighbour if you can put it in theirs or take it to the tip,” said another.
