ENVIRO COURT

Re “Top court asked to judge kids’ climate case” (The Canadian Press, Dec 24): It seems to me that our judges have too much time on their hands, especially in reference to this frivolous lawsuit brought by seven youths who allege there is a climate crisis. Instead, these kids should launch a class-action suit against the gender-neutral sun — I would even join them. I became an expert on ‘climate change’ when I was in Grade 5 or 6 at McMurrich Public School in Toronto in the late ’50s. It was our science book (which, although somewhat frayed, I still have), ‘Working with Science’ by Katherine Hill and Gerald S. Craig, that explained everything about the climate. The book describes in detail (with really nice pictures) how influential the sun is on climate and just about everything else. That being said, I’m not quite sure how I’ve managed to avoid capture for almost 65 years for failing to return the book to McMurrich Public School. I’m glad I don’t live in New York City, because as a book scofflaw, I wouldn’t have stood a chance against someone like Mr. Bookman.

(It’s surprising the court is even hearing this case. But this is more about grabbing headlines and meaningless activism)

FREELAND IS NOT A LEADER

Why would anyone think Chrystia Freeland would make a good leader? She backed up Trudeau’s woke craziness time and time again. She agreed with all the overspending. She is totally out of touch. She thought cancelling Disney Plus would solve a family’s financial problems and saving a whole dollar on a rotisserie chicken would suddenly make it affordable. She came down on the truckers like a ton of bricks, but the anti-Israel types who burn our flag, nothing. Like Trudeau, she is a phony, only caring about herself. Give me a break.

(Freeland is only top of mind right now for Liberals because she’s the one from the “front bench” who has very publicly stood up to Trudeau)
