A 43-year-old woman is wanted for allegedly breaking into a Parkdale apartment and stabbing someone on Friday afternoon.

Toronto Police say the violence unfolded in the area of Queen St. and Beaty Ave. – west of Lansdowne Ave. – just after 3:30 p.m.

A woman “armed with a weapon” broke into an apartment and stabbed the victim, police say.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The assailant fled on foot.

Investigators subsequently identified a suspect.

Meagan Coote, of no fixed address, is wanted for breaking-and-entering, two counts of assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and disobeying a lawful of court.

The suspect is described as five-foot-six, with a medium build, dirty blond hair and light-coloured eyes. She was last seen wearing a tan jacket and a light-brown knitted scarf.

MAN WOUNDED IN NORTH ETOBICOKE SHOOTING

A man in his 30s was injured by gunfire in North Etobicoke early Saturday.

Toronto Police say officers responded to reports of two people involved in an argument in the area of Steeles and Kipling Aves. around 1:40 a.m.

One man was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to hospital, but his injury is not considered life-threatening.

The shooter fled the area and the investigation is ongoing.

MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN STOUFFVILLE CRASH

A man on a motorcycle was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Stouffville on Saturday morning.

York Regional Police say the crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle happened in the area of Ninth Line and Hoover Park Dr. – south of Main St.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing.
