A BMW driver who was caught speeding at 118mph on Christmas Day had slapped their car with a sticker declaring “My driving scares me too”, police have said.
The motorist was pulled over by Hampshire Police after being clocked racing along the M27 motorway at more than double the national speed limit.
The driver took advantage of quieter festive traffic conditions on the Hampshire motorway, police said.
After pulling the vehicle over, officers discovered the black BMW had been adorned with various stickers, including the driver’s prophetic message.

The speeding motorist now faces court action for the alleged offence.
The black BMW was heavily customised, featuring a large spoiler and multiple decorative stickers across its bodywork.
In addition to the “My driving scares me too” message, the vehicle displayed a sticker reading “Misunderstood”.
A third sticker on the car proclaimed “Too loud? Too bad!”

Hampshire Constabulary’s Roads Policing Unit shared images of the vehicle just after midday on December 25.
“The roads might be quiet but it’s no excuse to use them as an autobahn – we are still out on patrol,” the force warned.
Hampshire Police added: “This driver found out the hard way.”
Officers were conducting regular patrols despite the reduced Christmas Day traffic – and caught the BMW at 12.37pm on Christmas Day on the M27 between Portsmouth and Southampton.
The car’s top speed of 118mph was recorded during what would typically be lunchtime traffic – though the roads were notably quieter due to the holiday.
This isn’t the first time that police have been eager to share footage of bizarre motorway run-ins – just months ago, Gloucestershire Police revealed officers had spotted an Evri lorry driver eating out of a jar with a spoon behind the wheel.
In the clip an officer can be heard saying: “He’s got a spoon… and he’s got his jar!”
While in another piece of footage from the force, a van driver was spotted texting while driving, before turning to swear at officers.
