Wetherspoon is gearing up to offer pints for as little as 99p in the New Year, launching a January sale across its venues in England and Wales, where alcohol prices will be reduced. From Thursday, January 2 until January 16, patrons can enjoy lowered prices.

The same deal kicks off a day later in Scotland, running from Friday, January 3 to January 16, offering customers around two weeks to take advantage of the discounts. A whopping 750 pubs will participate, with offers such as Ruddles beer dropping to £1.29, down from £1.79.

Other deals include Worthington’s beer for 99p, Belhaven for £1.49, and Doom Bar for £1.49—a pint. Over 650 Wetherspoon pubs will offer a 250ml glass of Coldwater Creek wine for £2.49, and nearly all outlets will serve low and non-alcoholic drinks for £1.49 each.

Beyond booze, food savings are in store come January, with prices beginning at £2.99, including various savoury muffins and three burger meal deals, averaging £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage or £4.99 with a soft drink. Tim Martin, the founder and chairman of Wetherspoon, commented that “Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it was a perfect time to have a sale in the pubs too.”

The pub caters to diverse tastes, with the boss saying: “This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks.”

In addition to its vast selection of drinks, Wetherspoons frequently launches promotions and sales events to provide customers with savings opportunities.

It is advisable to regularly check the Wetherspoons website for the latest deals to avoid missing any discounts.

In other news, Wetherspoons has begun its Boxing Day festivities, with its locations resuming standard operating hours following the Christmas celebrations. Customers can visit from 8 am to 1 am and indulge in a full menu.

Furthermore, the same operating hours will be in effect for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, allowing patrons to celebrate into the night and usher in 2025 in style.
