Pep Guardiola has reacted to Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Everton on Boxing Day after yet another difficult day for the Spaniard and his side.
City had gone into the showdown hoping to secure just a second win from their last 13 outings across all competitions.
Yet they were pegged back at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday, with Iliman Ndiaye cancelling out Bernardo Silva’s early effort to stun the hosts once more.
Pressure is mounting on Guardiola in the wake of yet another disappointing result, with City a shadow of the team that has dominated the Premier League in recent years.

And Guardiola has insisted City will ‘keep going’ despite their woes worsening.
“We played really good but we are in the period right now that is what happens, we create, we concede the first time [the ball] arrives,” he said.
“But yeah, keep going.
“The performance against that team was really good offensively and defensively.

City dominated the ball against Everton, managing 67 per cent possession while their rivals struggled to get hold of it.
They also had 24 shots on goal, three times the amount Sean Dyche’s side managed.
And Manuel Akanji, also speaking to Amazon Prime, has insisted that City were unlucky after failing to come out on top.

“I don’t think a draw was a fair result,” he said.
“We created a lot of chances, but unfortunately we were able to score only one and conceded one out of nothing.
“I think this was a game where we should be scoring three or four goals. But they didn’t want to go in.
“We are trying to attack and then we lose the ball. Things like that cannot happen. We need to believe till the last moment that we can win the game.”
