A West Sussex woman has become an overnight millionaire after scooping a life-changing prize in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker draw.

The lucky winner, known only as Mrs. J, plans to use her newfound fortune to purchase a new home.

The windfall came as part of a special EuroMillions draw on November 22, which created 100 European millionaires in a single night.

Along with her £1 million prize, Mrs. J also won an additional £2.60 in the draw, joining the ranks of over nine million players who win on National Lottery games each week.

Mrs. J secured her win through a Lucky Dip ticket, which she purchased via the National Lottery app. The EuroMillions Millionaire Maker is designed to guarantee creating a millionaire in every draw.

The November special draw proved particularly fortunate, as it was part of a larger European event that created 100 millionaires across the continent in a single evening.

Like many winners, Mrs. J chose partial publicity, allowing some details of her win to be shared while maintaining a degree of privacy.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, expressed his excitement about the win.

“She can now look forward to buying a new home with her winnings. Huge congratulations,” he said.

The win comes during a festive period that has seen multiple significant lottery prizes awarded across the country.

Winners can choose whether to release their name, remain anonymous, or like Mrs J, opt for partial publicity.
