The mum of missing student Jack O’Sullivan says she’s been told a member of the family’s ‘Find Jack’ Facebook page knows where he is. Catherine O’Sullivan says she has been told the secret to his disappearance lies in their appeal’s social media group itself.
Writing on ‘Find Jack’ in response to a post, mum Catherine says she has been repeatedly told that one of the group knows what happened to him. She wrote: “I get continual messages telling me the person who has the answers as to what has happened to Jack and where he is, is in this group.
“If that is true please come forward and let someone know You can share this information anonymously if you prefer. We are a desperate family and we just need answers. Please help us! The bottom line is ‘Someone knows’ what has happened to Jack. We ask please just come forward with information that could help us.”
Jack, 23, was last seen in the early hours of Saturday, March 2, after a night out at a party in the Hotwells area of Bristol. Nothing has been seen or heard from him since that night, his phone last pinged at gone 6am in the same area of the Cumberland Basin and Hotwells, and his bank account has not been touched since then. Jack’s mum Catherine has criticised the police for concluding that Jack had somehow fallen into the water either in the Cumberland Basin or in the River Avon itself, that night.
“We are desperate and we are in the hands of the public for support. Stop for a minute and think- this is a family in the worst pain imaginable. Please do anything that you can to help. Any information you have is greatly appreciated. Thank you,” she said. The FB group is run by his friends and family and currently has 88K members. People can report anonymously at [email protected].
