Max O’Leary – 6
He was slightly shaky as he spilt a long-range effort from John Swift early on but recovered well from his mistake against QPR. After that, he seemed to settle down and produced some big saves to stop West Brom running away with the game.
Cam Pring – 5
While he was always set for a tough afternoon against Tom Fellows, the City academy graduate didn’t manage to keep the Baggies winger quiet. Needed to get out to Fellows quicker for Albion’s opener as he made it far too easy for him to pick out Mikey Johnston. Did produce a goal-saving challenge in the second half, however.
Luke McNally – 6
Despite the Reds’ defensive woes, the former Burnley man was reasonably solid at the back. Did pick up another reckless yellow card with a heavy challenge on Fellows but for the most part, went about his business well enough.
Rob Dickie – 6
Like McNally, it didn’t feel like the ex-QPR man did an awful lot wrong on Sunday afternoon. Some of his passing was a bit loose but had it not been for some of his last-ditch tackles, the game would have been over by the hour mark.
Zak Vyner – 5
Lost his man for the home side’s opener and was left standing alone in the City penalty area. Similarly got turned inside out by Johnston for the second goal. While he isn’t a natural right-back, he had to do better in both of those situations.
Marcus McGuane – 6
Back in the starting XI and showed why as he produced an excellent tackle to stop Mikey Johnston on the counter. On a bad day for Manning’s side, he once again impressed with his work out of possession. He may not be perfect, but he is a valuable asset.
Jason Knight – 6
The Reds captain did what he could to try and provide some control in the middle of the park, but couldn’t quite run proceedings as he did against QPR. Battled away out of possession as he always does.
Max Bird (off for Ross McCrorie, 46′) – 5
Having played in a deeper role against QPR, the former Derby County man was a number 10 again against the Baggies but didn’t do an awful lot of note before being replaced by McCrorie. A tough afternoon.
Anis Mehmeti (off for Yu Hirakawa, 69′) – 5
Deployed on the right wing rather than his natural position on the left flank and his impact was greatly reduced. Did put in a good cross to carve out a chance for McNally. Struggled to get too involved in proceedings before being replaced by…
Scott Twine (off for George Earthy, 69′) – 5
Started on the left flank and while his set-pieces and delivery into the box posed its usual threat, he couldn’t produce a moment of magic as he did against QPR. The game almost passed him by and considering his status, the Robins need more from him.

Fally Mayulu (off for Sam Bell, 69) – 6
Handed his first start since September’s defeat to Blackburn Rovers and while he didn’t see loads of the ball, he showed a few bright touches. It will be impossible to judge the Frenchman fully until we see him get some genuine service in games as too often he is disconnected at the top end of the pitch.
Substitutes:
Ross McCrorie – 6
Got stuck in, off of the bench and even got a shot away. While he didn’t make a huge difference, it was good to see him back in action.
Yu Hirakawa – 7
Made an immediate impact with his energy down the right flank. Even carved out a couple of decent chances to show just how good he can be.
