The Belfast Giants have confirmed that their home clash with the Fife Flyers timetabled for Sunday afternoon has been postponed due to ‘weather-related travel delays’.

The Giants were pencilled in to play the Flyers on Sunday in the second leg of an Elite League double-header against the Scottish side on Sunday but, with face-off set for 4pm, will instead be played at a later date.

“The Stena Line Belfast Giants regret to confirm that this afternoon’s Elite League fixture against the Fife Flyers has been postponed due to weather-related travel delays,” read a statement.

“All tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date, which will be communicated in due course.”

Adam Keefe’s side won the first meeting against the EIHL’s bottom side 6-1 in Fife on Saturday night, continuing a fine run of form that has seen the Giants move within four points of the League-leading Cardiff Devils.

Pierre-Olivier Morin (2), Mike Lee, Scott Conway, Karl Boudrias and Ben Lake were on target in the emphatic victory.
