An arrest has been made for the alleged sexual assault of a girl in Mississauga earlier this month, and investigators believe there may be additional victims.

Peel Regional Police said the victim, under the age of 18, was in the area of Square One Shopping Centre on Dec. 9 when she was approached by the suspect.

Police allege the suspect made advances towards the victim, kissing and touching her inappropriately. The victim managed to leave the situation and was not physically injured.

According to police, investigators were able to identify the suspect. Johnathan Watson, also known as Justine Watson, 29, of no fixed address, was arrested Monday and charged with sexual assault and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

Cops said, at the time of the arrest, Watson was bound by release orders stemming from two prior and separate charges of sexual assault.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and encourage them to report the incidents to police.
