Paris Fury has revealed she ‘lied’ to Tyson Fury to protect him from the terrible news of her miscarriage before his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk earlier in the year.

Paris suffered the loss of the couple’s unborn child prior to the bout, which her husband lost via split decision.

Fury has previously revealed that he sensed his wife’s trauma before the news was officially confirmed after she failed to join him out in the Middle East.

And Paris, speaking ahead of the rematch between Fury and Usyk tonight, has revealed she lied and said she had high blood pressure to protect her other half.

“I had to make the decision, do I tell him?” she told The Mirror.

“And I came to the conclusion that whatever was happening with me, I couldn’t change it. But I could change dramatically what was happening in his life.

“I made up a lie that I had high blood pressure.

“It was the only thing I could think of that would stop me from flying without having to give him the terrible news.”

Paris has joined Fury out in Saudi Arabia for the clash tonight, which will take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

The couple have spent three months apart, with Fury cutting off contact from the outside world as he looks to secure victory.

Many have been quick to dismiss the 36-year-old as a faded force after he crashed to defeat against Usyk seven months ago.

Yet Fury has shown he’s capable of overcoming adversity in the past and, therefore, can’t be entirely ruled out.

Fury recently explained his decision to distance himself from his family by saying: “I’ve not spoken to Paris for three months.

“Not a word, not spoke to anyone, not been on my phone, I’ve been away from it all. I just wanted to give myself the best opportunity I can.

“I don’t want to keep dividing modes from beast mode, to Dad mode, wife mode, I’ve not spoken to anybody on the phone, that’s it. I’ve just been in the camp the whole time.

“It’s difficult to keep switching. I’ve not spoken to anybody on the phone. Anybody who has called me has not been successful in getting hold of me in the last couple of months.

“I give up coffee for seven or eight weeks, Diet Cokes for the same amount of time, I don’t think it matters.

“I’ve taken vitamins for 12 months, came off them for 12 months, didn’t feel anything.

“I don’t think any of it makes a difference, not having certain things or doing certain things. It’s the goal for the individual to achieve.

“Just be happy and that’s all you can do. The hardest thing in the world is to stay in the moment. Not push for more or want more. Everybody is always pushing for more. Even I’m pushing for more, everybody is.”
