A shooting shortly after midnight Thursday has left one person dead in Scarborough.

Toronto Police say they were called to the Eglinton Ave. E. and Markham Rd. area at 12:13 a.m. for reports of a shooting.
Officers found “a male victim” and performed lifesaving measures.
The victim, whose age was not immediately released, was transported by emergency run to hospital, where he died.
The Toronto Police Homicide Unit is investigating the city’s 83rd homicide of the year.
