Katie Price has candidly shared her struggles with her “horrific” IVF treatment and has decided she “won’t be watching” the upcoming Channel 4 documentary that chronicles her attempts to have another baby. The 46 year old, who became a household name in the ’90s as Jordan, is already a mother to five children but has been open about her desire to expand her family.
The programme, ‘Katie Price: Making Babies’, will detail her journey to conceive a sixth child with former partner Carl Woods. Despite currently dating ‘Married At First Sight’ star JJ Slater, Katie recently divulged to Closer magazine her distressing experience with IVF.
She said: “I’ve just done an IVF programme. I’ve got my twin dolls at home, which I’m not going into detail about. I did IVF, and that programme will be out next year. I won’t be watching, as I don’t want to be reminded of the past.”

She reflected on her past relationship, adding: “The experience was horrific and, if I look back, I wasn’t in the right relationship. I think things happen for a reason, if I’m honest.”

Last month, Katie sparked confusion among fans with a photo of two babies, leading to speculation about new additions to her family.
However, it was later clarified that the ‘twins’ were actually reborn dolls, which are highly realistic and can be quite costly. An insider spoke to OK! magazine, shedding light on her reasons for acquiring the dolls, reports the Mirror.
“She’s been through a lot of trauma in her life and she’s been at her happiest when she’s had her babies,” a source close to Katie revealed. They further explained that having children is her “happy place and safe place” and with the dolls, she can “just get on with her life as normal”.

Despite undergoing three rounds of IVF with Carl, the couple sadly didn’t have any success and have since parted ways. Speaking on the Netmums Podcast, Katie expressed gratitude for her five children but admitted she wants “more”.
She also shared: “And I don’t want to be told by a doctor or something that I can’t have more. So I’m looking into other journeys that if I want more, how I can do that, because I know I’m not done. I know I still want, if I could have two more kids, I would.”
Katie also opened up about fertility, admitting that she “didn’t realise” until she underwent the IVF that “you’re born with a set of eggs”, and with “every period you have”, you “get rid of eggs and stuff”. She concluded: “So mine are quite old now, so it’s whether it produces a good egg or not.”
