Jewellery has been stolen from a number of homes during a spate of burglaries in Co Tyrone and Co Armagh.
A total of five properties were targeted on Monday, December 16, with police treating the incidents as potentially linked.
The first incident took place in the Rarone Road area of Gortaclare at around 6.20pm when entry was gained to the rear of the premises before the culprits ransacked a number of bedrooms.
Detectives believe items of jewellery were taken.
A short time later at around 6.45pm a second burglary was reported in the Fair Green area of Ballygawley after the occupants arrived home to find the back door of the house had been entered.
A sum of money, jewellery and keys were missing.
A third incident was reported just after 8.30pm in the Aughnaree Manor area of Aughnacloy where burglars smashed a pane of glass to gain entry through a back door of a home from which jewellery was stolen.
A house in the Church Hill Cottages area of Caledon was ransacked just before 9pm, however nothing was taken from the property.
Around an hour later a fifth incident was reported in the Tynan area of Armagh where rooms were rummaged through and a sum of cash taken.
PSNI Detective Sergeant Robinson officers are “linking these reports” as they appealed for witnesses to come forward.
“We are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam or other footage of these areas throughout Monday, 16th December,” DS Robinson added.
“Please phone us on 101, quoting reference numbers 1496, 1552, 1787, 1746 and 1875 16/12/24.”
