If you simply cannot wait for the new Wallace & Gromit on Christmas Day, then fear not – you don’t have to. Bristol’s Watershed is hosting preview screenings of the latest Aardman film in full tomorrow (December 18) to Monday (December 23).

Each day has between two to six screenings, many of which include the option of audio description, while some cater to younger audiences and babies, have descriptive subtitles, and/or are adapted for a more relaxed visit. According to the plot synopsis, the 70-minute animated film sees ‘animation’s most frightening chicken – ahem penguin – Feathers McGraw’ return.

Titled Vengeance Most Fowl, the film – Wallace and Gromit‘s sixth outing on screen – sees Gromit’s concern that Wallace is becoming too dependent on his inventions proved justified, when Wallace invents a ‘smart’ gnome that seems to develop a mind of its own. The synopsis continues: “When it emerges that a vengeful figure from the past might be masterminding things, it falls to Gromit to battle sinister forces and save his master…or Wallace may never be able to invent again!

“Co-directed by Nick Park and Merlin Cressingham and produced by Bristol’s very own Aardman Animations, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is the perfect film to get you in the mood for the festive season.”
