A man who died in a crash in the Carryduff area has been named by police as David McDonald.

Emergency services were called to the scene in the Carryduff Road area of Temple, Lisburn at around 7pm on Saturday.

The PSNI has confirmed 21-year-old Mr McDonald tragically passed away at the scene.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Mr McDonald was a passenger in a blue Vauxhall Corsa involved in a serious collision in the Carryduff Road area of Temple, Lisburn. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“Officers from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Collision Investigation Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.”

The police said anyone with any information or dash cam footage should contact them on the non-emergency number.
