Six people, including a child, have been taken to hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Co Fermanagh.
Emergency services were called to the incident in the Belturbet Road area of Derrylin at approximately 5pm on Sunday afternoon.
The NI Ambulance service (NIAS) has confirmed there are multiple casualties as a result of the crash, with one child taken to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (RBHSC).
“The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 16:55 on Sunday 15 December following reports a multi vehicle RTC on Belturbet Road, Derrylin,” said a spokesperson.
“NIAS despatched a Rapid Response Paramedic, 6 Emergency Crews, 1 HART Crew and an ambulance officer to the scene. Ambulance Control also tasked the HEMS Crew to attend by response vehicle.
“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene four patients were taken by ambulance to South West Acute Hospital (SWAH), one to the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) and one to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (RBHSC).”
The PSNI said the public should avoid the area as emergency services deal with the incident.
