A 43-year-old man on two probation orders is now accused of an assault at a TTC station earlier this month.

Toronto Police say TTC Special Constables responded to the alleged assault in Broadview Subway Station – near Danforth and Broadview Aves. – on Dec. 4.

“It is alleged the accused assaulted the victim,” Const. Shannon Eames said Saturday. “The accused stole and damaged the victim’s personal property.”

She said the accused then allegedly fled the area prior to police arrival.

Investigators subsequently identified a suspect and released his image to the public on Thursday.

Gerrard Purcell, 43, of Toronto, was located and arrested Saturday.

He is charged with assault, mischief under $5,000, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
